By creating an account or using Sommelier AI, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
The service.
Sommelier AI is a wine recommendation companion. We are not your physician, your sommelier of record, or a licensed wine merchant, and we do not sell alcohol. What we provide is information and suggestions for your personal, non-commercial use.
Eligibility & age.
You must be of legal drinking age in the country where you live — and in any case at least 18 — to use Sommelier AI. By using the service you represent that you meet that requirement. The service is about wine; it is not intended for anyone below legal drinking age, and we may close accounts we believe do not meet this requirement.
Your account.
One account per person. You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider. If you suspect someone else has access, write to support@asksommelier.ai.
Acceptable use.
- Don't scrape, reverse-engineer, or republish our recommendations at scale.
- Don't impersonate anyone, harass others, or upload content that isn't yours or that infringes someone's rights.
- Don't upload other people's contact details without a legitimate reason to invite them.
- Don't use the service to encourage underage drinking or unhealthy, excessive consumption — we will close accounts that do.
AI & accuracy.
Recommendations, tasting notes, label readings, and chat replies are generated by AI. They can be incomplete, out of date, or simply wrong, and they are not professional, medical, or health advice. Wine affects people differently and carries health risks; drink responsibly, follow the guidance of qualified professionals for any health question, and use your own judgment before you buy or consume anything based on what the service tells you.
Your content.
Your photos, notes, ratings, and cellar are yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process them — including sending label and wine-list images and your messages to our AI providers — only as needed to operate and improve the service for you. We may generate and store AI tasting notes and enrichment associated with wines in the catalog.
Subscriptions & billing.
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or annual. Where you buy it decides who bills you: a purchase made in the iOS app is billed and managed by Apple through the App Store, a purchase made in the Android app is billed and managed by Google Play, and a purchase made directly on our website is processed by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel with whoever bills you. The price, the subscription length, trial eligibility, renewal terms, and taxes shown by Apple, Google Play, or Stripe at the moment of purchase are the ones that govern that purchase. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your premium features stay on through the end of the period you already paid for. If our web prices change, we'll give you notice before your next renewal.
Refunds. Refunds for App Store purchases are administered by Apple under Apple's policies. Refunds for Google Play purchases follow Google Play's policies — Google or we can issue an eligible refund or cancellation through Google Play's tools. For annual plans bought directly on our website through Stripe, and only those, we offer a 7-day refund, no questions asked.
App Store & Google Play.
Apple application license. For the iOS version of Sommelier AI, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies in addition to these Terms, unless a custom license agreement is presented through App Store Connect. If the two ever conflict about the license to the iOS app, the Apple license terms control.
Google Play. Use of the Android version distributed through Google Play is also subject to the applicable Google Play terms and purchase rules. Google Play's purchase, renewal, cancellation, and refund controls apply to subscriptions bought there.
Termination.
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleting your Sommelier AI account does not automatically cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel those through your store's subscription settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or use the service in a way that creates legal risk or harms others. On termination, your right to use the service ends; the sections that by their nature should survive (content license we still need to wind down, disclaimers, liability, and governing law) will survive.
Disclaimers & liability.
The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. We try to be right about every bottle, and we will sometimes be wrong. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Governing law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Miami-Dade County, Florida for any dispute, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
Changes & contact.
We may update these Terms; when we do, we'll change the effective date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Sommelier AI is operated by IT Solutions & Consulting Services INC.
